My Story
Back as co-host, AfroKC is excited for another year to have Angela Believes is a Kansas City entrepreneur, event host, emcee, and community advocate.
Some highlights of her background include:
Founder and CEO of Angela Believes LLC, a Kansas City–based business focused on event hosting, emceeing, media, and community engagement.
Owner of the apparel and lifestyle brand Godly and Gangsta, a Black woman-owned business in the Kansas City area.
Has hosted and emceed numerous Kansas City events, including programs for the American Jazz Museum, Kansas City Folk Festival, KKFI 90.1 FM, and other cultural and community organizations.
Active in promoting Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurship in Kansas City, speaking publicly about the challenges and opportunities facing Black women business owners.
Has worked as a media personality, interviewer, and community host, appearing at business, arts, fashion, and civic events throughout the metro area.
Angela Believes is particularly known in Kansas City for her event-hosting work, community involvement, and advocacy for local Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs.
