My Story
Quez Beasley is a visionary cultural leader, creative director, event producer, and community organizer dedicated to uplifting artists and preserving the rich legacy of Kansas City’s historic 18th & Vine Jazz District. As the Founder and Director of the 18th & Vine Arts Festival Foundation and creator of Quez Presents, Quez has built one of Kansas City’s fastest-growing independent arts and entertainment movements, creating platforms that celebrate visual art, fashion, music, dance, culture, and youth creativity.
Known for turning bold ideas into unforgettable experiences, Quez produces large-scale festivals, concerts, fashion productions, hair shows, brunch experiences, live music showcases, and community-centered events that bring people together through creativity and culture. Through Quez Presents, he has become known for curating high-energy productions that blend live entertainment, storytelling, fashion, art, and community engagement into one experience.
Quez is the visionary behind the annual 18th & Vine Arts Festival, a multi-day cultural celebration that highlights local and national talent while honoring the deep artistic history of Kansas City. Under his leadership, the organization has expanded into year-round programming including First Saturdays at Keystone, the YAI Youth Artist Initiative, live art competitions, artist resource workshops, music showcases, fashion competitions, hair shows, honors ceremonies, brunch experiences, and public art projects throughout the city.
With a passion for “giving flowers” to artists while they can still receive them, Quez is committed to creating opportunities for creatives across all mediums. His work focuses on empowering emerging artists, connecting communities through the arts, and building spaces where culture, self-expression, and entrepreneurship can thrive.
Through partnerships with local organizations, schools, city leaders, and cultural institutions, Quez continues to position the 18th & Vine Arts Festival Foundation and Quez Presents as major creative forces shaping the future of arts and culture in Kansas City.
